    Who owns my health record?

    You own your health record. Only you can change the password to your medical record and it is your choice whether you wish to share this password with family members or friends for emergencies.

    What role does my employer play?

    If your Securamed service is provided by your employer, that employer acts as a sponsor. Under no circumstances will your confidential medical data be made accessible or sold to your employer.

    What role does my insurance company play?

    Your insurance company is usually not involved in services provided by Securamed, except if they act as sponsor of your services. Even then, your personal medical data remains confidential at Securamed.

    What role does my physician or caregiver play?

    Upon your consent, your physician or caregiver may play a very significant and active role in maintaining the integrity of your medical data. Portions of your health record can be accessed and updated by your medical professional, ensuring the correctness and the timeliness thereof.

    What is a SecuramedCard?

    When you create your health record with Securamed, you can print a SecuramedCard for your wallet or purse which contains all critical medical information for domestic or foreign emergencies. You can print as many cards as you wish, in any of the available leading world languages.

    How can my SecuramedCard help me in an emergency?

    Your SecuramedCard has your login information along with critical medical information such as your allergies, important medical conditions, and medications you are taking. If you are unable to communicate with a paramedic in a medical emergency, your vital health information can be found on your SecuramedCard.
